EWES Sound Fastener | A small screw that makes a big difference
Reducing sound between rooms often means more material, thicker walls and more work. EWES Sound Fastener was developed to solve the same problem – but in a completely different way.
Sound Fastener is a Swedish, patented sound-reducing wood screw that replaces standard screws. With a simple change, the perceived sound level can be reduced by up to 9 dB, which corresponds to almost a halving of the sound.
Less material, more usable space
Sound Fastener reduces sound without the need for additional boards or thicker walls. In some cases, this allows the construction to be slimmer than traditional solutions.

Tested and verified performance
Sound Fastener has been tested by independent organisations such as RISE, Akustikverkstan and technical universities in Sweden, Denmark and the UK. Tests conducted in accordance with ISO 10140-2 and ISO 10140-3 show a verified sound reduction of 9 dB.
Stability like a standard wall
Walls installed with Sound Fastener perform like conventional walls. They can be plastered, wallpapered and tiled without affecting the sound-reducing function.
