Three days of meetings, new premises and open doors

Three days, three different occasions and many visitors. When EWES invited guests to its new premises in Bredaryd, the result was three days filled with meetings, conversations and curiosity. From the contractors behind the extension and refurbishment to the local business community and nearly 300 visitors at Saturday’s Open House.

Following an extensive extension and refurbishment, EWES now has new premises that provide even better conditions for both today’s operations and future growth. From 13–15 August, it was time to open the doors and invite more people to see the results.

An evening for those who made it possible

First up were the contractors who had worked on the extension and refurbishment. On Thursday evening, 13 August, around 40 people gathered at EWES for an evening that was both a thank you for their efforts and an opportunity to see the finished result.

With the sun shining and temperatures decidedly summery, Wernamo Food & Event served freshly grilled burgers in the car park. Svenstigs was also there with several car models available for anyone who fancied taking a test drive.

Naturally, the evening also included a tour of the newly built premises – this time for many of the people who had helped turn the drawings and plans into reality.

Book lunch on leadership and communication

On Friday, the programme continued with a book lunch at EWES. The day’s guest was Bredaryd-born Stefan Lorentzson, an author and experienced international executive with a long career at the Volvo Group. His roles have included responsibilities in communications, marketing, brand management and international relations, as well as heading the Group’s EU office in Brussels and its North American office in New York.

Under the heading ‘Kind leadership is the new tough!’, Stefan joined Lars Alkner, Director of Culture at Värnamo Municipality, to discuss his latest book, Communications in Change, for Change!, and how leadership and communication need to evolve in an era shaped by constant change, digitalisation and AI.

The lunch gave participants an opportunity to benefit from Stefan’s extensive international experience, while also networking and taking a tour of EWES’s new premises.

Over 300 visitors as the doors opened to everyone

Saturday, 15 August, marked the grand finale of the week. EWES opened its doors to everyone who wanted to come and take a look – neighbours, families, customers, suppliers, former employees and anyone else curious to discover what really goes on behind the scenes at EWES in Bredaryd.

And there was plenty of interest. More than 300 people visited EWES during the day!

Visitors were invited on guided tours through both the new premises and the production facilities, where manufacturing was in full swing. It was a chance to see first-hand how springs are made and gain an insight into a business that has been part of Bredaryd since 1935.

For younger visitors – and perhaps the occasional adult – there were balloons and temporary tattoos. And no celebration would be complete without cake: naturally, coffee and traditional Swedish princess cake were served.

The weather also showed its very best side, contributing to a fantastic day filled with people, encounters and a wonderful atmosphere both indoors and out.

Thank you to everyone who came!
